40th Anniversary Celebration
Beacon Rock Golf Course's 40th Anniversary Celebration will run from Monday May 16, 2011 through Sunday October 2, 2011. Come celebrate with us by:
Winning our Monthly Golf-a-holic Award: Each month, the person who plays the most golf, exclusive of pass holders and employees, will receive two tickets to an upcoming Portland Timbers game.
Purchasing the daily special 40th Anniversary starting time: Each day beginning May 16 through October 2, one special 40th Anniversary Starting Time is available through the on-line specials link on our website. Weekdays the starting time will provide up to four players unlimited golf, golf car usage, food, and soft drinks along with a commemorative gift. Weekenders receive 18-holes of golf, with golf car usage, one meal and soft drinks along with a commemorative gift. These tee times are only $40 per person. Make your 40th Anniversary starting time right here right now.
Coming to our Anniversary Party: Our actual anniversary date is September 25, 2001. So we will party all weekend. Here are the details:
Saturday Sept. 24 - Invitations are in the mail for day one of the party. Breakfast begins at 8 am, golf at 9 am and lunch at 1 pm. It will be a gathering of current members, distinguished guests of the course's past and present. 40th Anniversary gifts will be handed out, many stories told (lies too!), birthday cake eaten, and prizes awarded for on course accomplishments.
Sat. after 2 pm and all day Sunday Sept. 25 - Receive a free comemerative gift with each green fee purchase, while supplies last, enjoy some birthday cake, if your birthday is Sept. 24 or 25, you play for free, and if your birthday is Sept. 24 or 25, 1971 you can play free, ride a cart for free, eat for free and drink all the non-alcoholic beverages you like - 40 is a big year.
Everyone who plays this weekend will also be entered to win one of nine embroidered flags from the course celebrating the anniversary weekend.
Winning a 3-D HD Television or i-Pad: Yes it is our anniversary, but you get the best present. Here is how you can win. You may enter the contest daily, from May 16, 2011 through October 2, 2011, just be visiting The Rock, limit of one enter per person per day, unless more allowed by BRGC, no purchase necessary. Make a purchase or register to play golf and you are automatically entered. If you do not have time to play or want to make a purchase, you can enter by checking with a staff member and the staff member will enter you in the contest.
Each time a customer visited GMGC, they received an entry.  One entry per person per day was allowed unless adjusted by GMGC. In all, over 20,000 entries were recorded. To be eligible for this or any other prize entrants must provide BRGC a complete information profile (name, zip code, phone number and valid e-mail address).
On or before Sunday October 9, 2011 two winners will be selected at random. The first name selected will be able to selected either the 3-D HD Television or the i-Pad. The second name selected will receive the prize that remains after the first winner makes their choice.
The winners must be at least 18 years old, provide valid Social Security number and are responsible for any applicable taxes. Employees, and their immediate family members, of Green Mountain Golf Course, Beacon Rock Golf Course, and Lacamas Family Entertainment, Inc. along with members of the golf industry eligible for complimentary green fees are ineligible.
